Biorepla Receives Letter of Intent for 5 Million Dollar Investment from Canadian Investors
Biorepla Korea, a manufacturer of biodegradable plastic substitutes, has been offered a $5 million investment for a joint venture between Biorepla Korea and Hobson Equity Inc. of Canada. Mikah Lee of LPR Inc., having forged the new venture over the past year, expressed good faith in both firms creating a sound joint venture. The joint venture, to be established in Canada, will distribute Biorepla’s corn-based plastic-substitute materials to North American and Mexican markets.
Mr. Edward Han CEO of Biorepla, feels that the joint venture will raise a great deal of global interest and expedite sales from the American continent. Hobson Equity expressed that Biorepla shows great promise in the American marketplace and beyond. “Biorepla’s technology is very compelling to many plastic injection molding companies because it doesn’t require them to change their existing machinery for plastics and will have a wide range of applications,” said Blaine Hobson. With increasing concerns for the environment, and the need for clean biodegradability of waste products, Biorepla’s value proposition to companies is expected to be very compelling.
Biorepla Korea has also signed a sales contract with Kolon Chemical, one of the largest plastic manufacturers in Korea to provide corn-based pallets to Kolon for its various plastics applications. For more information about Biorepla Korea, please contact Mikah Lee at mlee@launchpadred.com .
