LPR Global Designated as Premium Consulting Service by the Korean Federal Government

LPR Global distinguishes itself as the only North American company to win the Premium Consulting Service Award in 2023.

Toronto, Canada, March 7, 2023 – LPR Global continues to be the only North American premium consulting service provider selected by the Small and Medium Business Administration (SMBA), a South Korean Federal Government organization.  This is the 9th time LPR Global wins this prestigious award, which recognizes export marketing firms that have made extraordinary contributions to the SMBA’s mandate to promote South Korea’s small- and medium-sized manufacturers.

As a pivotal advisor and partner to SMBA’s export programs, LPR Global has been promoting various Korean machinery and components manufacturers to North America, South America, and Europe for over 22 years. During this time, LPR Global has expanded its partnerships with global companies in steel, automotive, fabrication, energy and home appliance manufacturing industries.

The recent selection was based on LPR Global’s success in advancing the USKoreaHotlink.com consortium, the largest active group of Korean manufacturers in North America, and its export of Korean manufactured goods in 2022.

In particular, 2022 saw the expansion of LPR Global’s Onsite Vendor Audit Service. Through thorough audit reports by LPR Global’s independent audit engineers and in-person site visits from North American companies, LPR Global increased access to South Korean manufacturers for high-priority, complex and long-term custom projects in 2022.

In 2023, LPR Global looks forward to developing new opportunities for long-term business partnerships with global companies, particularly for USKoreaHotlink’s newest consortium members, a manufacturer of deep foundation drilling equipment and a leading laser cutting fabricator of custom metal frames and structures.

The new collaboration expands LPR Global’s ability to connect North American companies with Korean manufacturers based in Daegu City, the recognized hub of automotive parts and machinery innovation in South Korea.

DGMC has been playing a pivotal role in promoting Daegu City and Gyeongbuk Province’s machinery manufacturers in the global market since 1962. On September 1, 2021, the two organizations consolidated the partnership to make LPR Global the exclusive marketing consulting and engineering services provider in North America for DGMC member companies.

“Working with DGMC will give us new capabilities and new offerings,” explains Mikah Lee, CEO of LPR Global. “Expanding on our 20-year experience of helping Western companies source from Korea, this new partnership will give our clients additional choices and options related to engineering services. Korean Manufacturing Business Matching Event at LPR Global’s 2019 Technology Forum

Korean Manufacturing Business Matching Event at LPR Global’s 2019 Technology Forum

Toronto, Canada, July 5, 2021 – LPR Global’s annual 1-on-1 Business Matching Event will resume to connect global leaders in factory and machine automation with top Korean manufacturers on August 19-21, 2021. This year, the events will be hosted online by LPR Global’s government partner, the Korea SMEs & Startups Agency (KOSME). This event is ideal for U.S. and Korean companies in manufacturing industries looking for global solutions and partnerships to advance their market competitiveness.

Before the event, LPR Global matches companies from Korea, the U.S., and Canada based on specific projects and business focus, and provides customized short lists of matches to each participant.  This year our participating Korean manufacturer list includes market leaders in robotic automation, remote monitoring and maintenance for machines, automated machine components, such as high precision motors for robotics and medical equipment, and metal forming and fabrication in power plant and steel roll mill sectors.

Event Details

Traditionally hosted in-person as part of LPR Global’s Technology Forum, this year’s 1-on-1 matching event will be incorporated in the online 2021 Global Business Matching Events.

  1. Participant companies from the U.S. and Canada submit a registration form to info@lprglobal.com.
  2. The registration and technical requirements are reviewed by LPR Global to match Korean manufacturers specific to each company’s needs.
  3. Once LPR’s short list of Korean manufacturers is confirmed by participating Western companies, virtual Zoom meetings will be scheduled.
  4. The 1-on-1 meetings will take place online with a live translator. Both U.S. and Korean companies will be free to discuss mutual interests and potential business partnerships.

Director of KOSME, Inyoung Sung, explains why Korea is one of the leading countries in robotics and manufacturing automation. According to Ms. Sung, who is spearheading this event, “Few countries have encouraged national factory automation as successfully as South Korea has in the past several years. Over 7,000 SMEs transitioned to factory automation in 2020 alone, and almost one-third of all SMEs in Korea are automated. With manufacturing industries accounting for 39% of South Korea’s GDP, there is a thriving network of SME manufacturers, suppliers, and large corporations, such as Samsung and Hyundai, who are poised to lead the global trend towards factory and machine automation.”

U.S. Korea Hotlink’s New Membership with Automate (A3)

U.S. Korea Hotlink has recently joined as a new member of Automate (A3), an association dedicated to advancing machine automation, vision systems, and motion control. Mikah Lee, managing director of LPR Global, comments that this matching event is particularly valuable to existing and prospective A3 members who are interested in adopting advanced Korean technologies for quality machines, semi automated manufacturing, and custom machine automation to increase their production performance and efficiency.

LPR Global’s Partner, Korea Association of Machinery Industry, to Host the 2021 D.Ton Trade Show

LPR Global’s Partner, Korea Association of Machinery Industry, to Host the 2021 D.Ton Trade Show

The 2021 D.Ton Virtual Trade Show creates a virtually augmented platform for attendees to explore and connect with industrial and machinery manufacturers from South Korea.

D.Ton Virtual Trade Show

Exhibitors in the Industrial Machine category at the 2021 D.Ton Virtual Trade Show

Toronto, Canada, March 11, 2021 On March 16, 2021, the Korea Association of Machinery Industry is hosting its 2021 D.Ton Virtual Trade Show with a focus on how the digital transformation of Big Data and an AI and Cloud based society will impact industrial and machinery manufacturing industries. Businesses from North America and Europe will attend this event to explore, and meet with industrial machinery, energy plant equipment, smart factory, automation and robotics, and metrology companies on-site.

Joo Ho-Jae, a consultant for Samsung SDS’ digital transformation strategies, will be the keynote speaker. While data from machines can be collected through mobile devices, sensors, and the Internet of Things (IoT), analyzing and applying data interpretation to machine maintenance still remain as big challenges. Joo will address how using Artificial Intelligence (AI) to process and analyze the data will prepare machinery companies for “un-tact” economies and a future based on “I’m ABC” (IoT, mobile, AI, Big Data, Cloud).

Mikah Lee, CEO of LPR Global, says, “Companies using Cloud service providers wouldn’t be able to analyze data from machines and prevent machine failure, unless they have access to the machine history data and logic tree that show cause-and-effect. D.Ton showcases how Korean machinery manufacturers have adopted digital technology to their machines. For manufacturing industries, digital technology will not only strengthen product differentiation, but processes optimization as well”.

The 2021 D.Ton Virtual Trade Show is a great event for industry leaders to meet with Korean companies who are at the forefront of AI- and cloud-based automotive, metal working, steel, energy, home appliance industrial machinery, and product manufacturing. To compensate for the fun experience of traditional trade show, D.Ton will have a K-POP culture party for visitors.

LPR Global Again Wins Premium Consulting Services Award, Accreditation for Best-in-Class Consulting Practice in North America by South Korean Government Agency

Toronto, Ontario, January 19, 2021 – LPR Global, Inc. announced today that it has won the prestigious Small and Medium Business Administration Premier Consulting Services Award for the eighth time. SMBA is a South Korean federal government ministry to promote the growth of small and medium manufacturers in Korea.

LPR Global stands out as the only North American firm in 2021 to receive the SMBA honor among 115 consulting companies certified by the SMBA. The selection was made based on LPR Global’s export successes for Korean manufacturers and outstanding growth of its www.USKoreaHotlink.com initiative, which is the largest consortium of Korean manufacturers in North America, created and operated by LPR Global. Mikah Lee, CEO of LPR Global, was thrilled to learn the news especially during this challenging year.

“We were awarded Premier seven times in the past,” says Lee. “It’s more meaningful this year because we have gone through many changes to address new challenges brought by the pandemic. We were unsure if those changes would work. Some of those changes include extending LPR Vendor Onsite Audit Services to global companies. Traveling restrictions due to COVID-19 created demand for Korea based engineering services from our Western clients, who wanted LPR Global to audit their Korean suppliers on their behalf. By hiring more engineers in Korea, we started offering LPR Vendor Onsite Audit services to all global companies. We see growing opportunities from the USKoreaHotlink.com platform for trade partnerships between North American and Korean manufacturers. We will continue to create manufacturing partnerships that benefit both sides.”

Since 2009, LPR Global has been operating  www.USKoreaHotlink.com, a platform where internationally-recognized manufacturing leaders in Korea connect with global business partners. It has been providing a unique venue to discuss customized manufacturing partnerships between leading Korean manufacturers and multinational companies.

One-On-One Executive Sessions for Automated Metal Forming Line, Progressive Tooling, and 5 Axis Machining Equipment Executives Held at LPR Global’s 8th Annual Business Matching Meetings in South Korea.

Matching-Meetings-Korea-2019-LPR-Global

Factory Automation, Machine Learning Data Science, Advanced Manufacturing Technologies, High Precision Testing Equipment, and Custom Tooling were at the Center of Project Discussions.

TORONTO, Canada, November 19, 2019 – The 2019 LPR Global Business Matching Meetings, held at the Korea Machinery Fair on October 23, 2019 at the KINTEX Exhibition Center in Seoul, South Korea, successfully sealed global partnerships between Western companies and South Korean manufacturers. LPR Global’s matching meetings and networking event was attended by companies across the globe from diverse industry backgrounds, including factory automation, home appliances, energy, automotive, and machine manufacturing.

LPR Global’s 8th annual one-on-one C-level meetings event brought together attendees with global partnership opportunities to engage in practical discussions about data science for machines, factory automation, and advanced manufacturing technologies. In collaboration with the Korea Association of Manufacturing Industry (KOAMI), LPR Global recruited qualified Korean manufactures, with expertise in metal forming design, non-destructive testing equipment, progressive tooling, and 5 axis highly precise machining centers.

Jim Sheldon, CEO and Owner of DT Engineering, one of participants from the US, expressed his interest in equipment and tooling design capabilities from South Korean companies for his automation projects. “When we reviewed these Korean companies’ websites prior to the one-on-one meeting, we couldn’t be sure because so much of the website content in English got lost in translation. But when we met them face-to-face and discussed their experience and capabilities, we were impressed! LPR Global staff understood exactly what we were looking for and created successful matches,” said Jim Sheldon.

“We’re very happy to see the LPR Business Matching Meetings create successes and play a pivotal role for global partnerships between Korean SMEs and global companies. KOAMI will continue to work with LPR Global to help form high-value partnerships,” commented Mr. Park Young Tahk, Executive Chairman, KOAMI.

LPR Global’s Business Matching Meetings were followed by factory visits to selected Korean manufacturers arranged by LPR Global.

LPR Global has been hosting the matching meetings for global clients, interested in exploring South Korean manufacturing capabilities and partnerships, since 2012 with the support of the Korean federal government and the Korea Association of Machinery Industry (KOAMI). LPR Global reviews the scope of technical requirements in advance and pre-selects reliable matching suppliers for global companies.
